What is Mesh Integration?
By Robin Willett

Hair loss is deeply personal. It can feel confusing, overwhelming, and at times, isolating. For many of my clients, the hardest part isn’t just the hair loss itself—it’s not knowing where to turn or what actually works.
That’s where mesh integration comes in.
Over the years, this method has become one of the most transformative solutions I offer—not just because of how it looks, but because of how it makes people feel when they finally see themselves again.
What Is Mesh Integration?
At its foundation, mesh integration is a customized hair replacement system designed to work with your natural hair, not against it.
A soft, breathable mesh is gently secured to your existing hair using a beaded foundation. Your own hair is pulled through the mesh, allowing it to blend seamlessly. From there, I attach additional hair—matched to your exact color, texture, and density—along with a closure or topper to recreate the look of a natural scalp.
The result is fullness, coverage, and movement that looks and feels incredibly real.
This isn’t something you take on and off daily. It’s designed to be lived in—worn continuously, styled freely, and integrated into your everyday life.

The Experience
Every mesh integration begins with a consultation. This is where I learn your story—your hair history, your concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve.
From there, I design a completely personalized system.
No two clients are the same. Hair density, placement, curl pattern, color blending—every detail is intentional. My goal is always the same: to create something that feels like you, just restored.
The installation itself is precise and methodical. The mesh is secured, the foundation is built, and the hair is layered in a way that mimics natural growth patterns. When done correctly, there is no obvious starting point or “piece”—just hair that looks like it belongs.
Why It Works
Mesh integration is unique because it solves multiple problems at once.
It provides:
Coverage where the scalp is visible
Support for fragile or thinning hair
Volume and length without over-stressing natural strands
For clients who have been told they’re “not a candidate” for extensions, this often becomes the safest and most effective option.
The mesh distributes weight evenly, reducing tension on delicate areas, while still allowing you to have the hair you’ve been missing.
Living With It
One of the biggest shifts for clients is realizing how natural it feels to live in.
You can:
Wash 1-2 times per week, and style your hair as usual
Wear it up or down, low ponytails and loose buns are fine
Sleep, exercise, and move freely
Maintenance is essential. You’ll come in every 4–6 weeks for a tightening appointment to keep everything secure and comfortable. Every 8–12 weeks, the system is removed, the scalp is deeply cleansed, and everything is refreshed.
I guide you through every step so you feel confident caring for it at home.
Who It’s For
Mesh integration is ideal for anyone experiencing:
Thinning at the crown or front
Alopecia or patchy loss
Hair that cannot tolerate traditional extension methods
A desire for both coverage and fullness
It can be a temporary solution during recovery, or something you choose long-term.

Who Mesh Integration May Not Be For
Mesh integration is incredibly versatile, but it’s not the right solution for everyone.
If you have extremely active scalp conditions, prefer a fully removable daily option, or are not able to commit to regular maintenance appointments, we may explore alternative solutions that better suit your lifestyle.
My role is to guide you—not sell you into something that isn’t aligned. There is always a right fit, and sometimes that means choosing a different path.
More Than Hair
What I’ve learned through this work is that this isn’t just about hair.
It’s about walking out the door without thinking twice.
It’s about catching your reflection and recognizing yourself again.
It’s about relief.
Mesh integration is one of the most powerful tools I have to help people get there.
And when it’s done right, it doesn’t look like a solution—it just looks like you.
